MBBS Admission Process in Haryana

The admission process in Haryana is merit-based and follows NEET UG scores as the main criterion. There are some steps which applicants are supposed to follow, like-

NEET-UG Examination

All students who want to MBBS, they are supposed to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG which is conducted by the National Testing Agency every year because without qualifying NEET entrance students will not be eligible to take admission in MBBS program at any college in India.

Online Registration

Once the NEET-UG results are declared, eligible candidates must register online on the official portal of DMER Haryana, which is "https://dmer.haryana.gov.in", for the counselling process.

Document Verification

After registration, students must appear for physical document verification at designated centres. When candidate documents and NEET documents are verified then they will get a seat based on availability.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

At the time of counselling, student will get a chance to fill their choice as per their demand and courses during the counselling window.

Reporting and Admission

Once allotted, candidates need to report to the respective college with original documents and pay the admission fees to confirm their MBBS seat.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria in Haryana

The criteria for taking admission in MBBS are set by the MCI, which are as like-

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian citizen, but NRI and OCI candidates are also eligible under specific quotas.

Required Educational Qualifications

Candidates are supposed to be 12th pass with the main subjects, which are mandatory for doing MBBS, like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Applicant must obtain the minimum required marks as per their category. 

 Age Limit

Applicants should be minimum 17 years, which is mandatory, and the rest of the age relaxation can be possible as per the category of the applicant. 

 NEET Qualification

Applicant must be NEET qualified, but the percentage can be different for different categories of applicants, like for general it can be 50%, and for SC/ST/OBC 40th percentile will be enough.

Pwd: 45th percentile (General) and 40th (SC/ST/OBC)

Documents Required for MBBS

At the time of counselling and admission, the Applicant must carry all their required documents which are important for getting admission.

  • NEET-UG Admit Card
  • NEET-UG Scorecard
  • For age proof, Class 10th Mark Sheet and Certificate
  • Class 12th Mark Sheet and Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate of Haryana (for state quota candidates)
  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable
  • Pwd Certificate (if applicable)
  • Character Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport-size Photographs
  • Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
  • Provisional Allotment Letter
  • Fee Receipt (for seat confirmation)

It's advised to carry both the original and multiple photocopies of the above documents during verification and admission.
